Although laserdisc technology is outdated and the unit displays that antique quality, I have a few discs I continue to want to play. And this player is perfect and probably state of the art, as silent film became state of the art just before sound films were introduced.

My Sony MDP-510 bit the dust six months earlier and with a few hundred laser discs, I needed a replacement. When Pioneer decided to cease manufacturing I scooped this up. Great versatile player!
