Rock Solid Super-Camera
By DMPhoto Verified Buyer from Reno, NV on 11/7/2008
Pros:
Strong Construction, Great Image Quality, Comfortable Controls, Bright LCD, Easy To Use
Best Uses:
Portraits, Art, Wedding, Photojournalism
Describe Yourself:
Pro Photographer
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I use the 1DMKIII for weddings, portraits, and personal use. This camera's best feature is its ability to make outstanding images in low light - this is critical at weddings and night-time location portrait shoots. Noise is very low at high ISO. Also, it is lightning fast at 10fps, built like a tank, and has so many custom functions it's rediculous. This is not a camera for hobbiests.

What An Outstanding Camera
By The Rattler Verified Reviewer from Arizona on 8/29/2008
Pros:
Comfortable Controls, Bright LCD, Ergonomic, Excellent Resolution, Strong Construction, Small Lag Time, Long battery life
Cons:
Lcd Hard To View Outdoors
Best Uses:
Travel, Photojournalism, Sporting events, Wildlife
Describe Yourself:
Hobbyist/Enthusiast
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Ideal for wildlife and sports photography. Blazing fast shutter @ 10 frames/sec., quick AF response, and low noise at high ISO settings, make it the perfect camera. I've owned three other Canon bodies, consumer and pro models, and the MK 111 is by far the best. I could list numerous other positive features, but the bottom line is image quality, and this delivers. I've not experienced any of the issues reported with early models. Camera is superb.

Was looking to purchase 5D's but was wanting to wait till the new 5D's were available. Well, got tired of waiting and needed to upgraded and purchased the MKIIId. I have not looked back and appreciate the quality and performance of this camera
