KEF PicoForte 1 Black

Excellent sound but lacks low frequency response. Best complimented with a subwoofer to fill in the lack of bass. It is the best sounding portable docking station(in it's price range) that I have listened to. Easily fills a large room with sound.

The sound of this unit is great! I thought it was room acoustics that made my Bose sound muddy, but the Pico Forte is sharp! As other reviewers have said, the unit would benefit from the addition of a sub-woofer.

Our good friend Sikat loves it, and his gf too, they love hearing music after working B-L-D. Even Marek, with a very sensitive hearing capacities, enjoys the system while cross training in his cabin...

I originally bought a Phillips system but it had a tinny, "jam-box" sound quality. I knew KEF as high quality sound equipment and the price was in line with my budget. Took the Phillips back to [...] and made the order from Onecall. It sound very nice...much fuller and smoother than I would have expected from a small speaker system. One drawback...it doesn't fully sync with a 4th generation Nano 16 GB (don't have remote ability to direct music selection/control). But hey it ain't a perfect world and it's the sound that's the primary objective.

I bought one of these for my desk at home and it sounded so good I bought three more. At the price, you can't go wrong. A small subwoofer to complement these makes them just about perfect. I have some old KEF speakers that I bought decades ago, and they still sound better than most other speakers I have heard. KEF continues to build the best speakers.
