After being unsuccessful with my cable company providing me with a DVR or Cable Box with HDMI outputs, I researched for several months to determine an alternative to use for our home. After months of research, I chose this product for my home theater / TV cable receiver. The DVR works great and the program information is more detailed than what the Cable Company provides. I would definitely recommend this product.

I love the Tivo! It's so much better than DVR. Everybody should have one of these. Tivo is so much easier to use and the interface is worlds above what I seen in DVRs. On top of that you get all sorts of other cool stuff like access to You Tube, Amazon Unbox (you can rent HD movies), Custom RSS feeds, Netflix watch instantly (if you have an account) and you can even order pizza from Dominos on your Tivo. It just keeps getting better. Well worth the investment.

If you do not know about tivo at this stage in the game, all you need to know is it is by far the best DVR of its kind. If you have time warner, ATT uverse, directv DVR's then you are cheating yourself.
