Easy hook up, I am not very tech savvy and have problems setting receiver preset stations and then getting back to being able to switch between, dvd, blu-ray etc.

The Denon 2809CI was the third AV receiver I finally settled on after returning an Onkyo 606 and a Denon 1909 to another retail store. I was happy with the Denon 1909, but wanted more juice to power my Mirage Nanostat Prestige and Definitive ProCinema 1000 center channel speakers.I'm running 7.1 channels with a Mirage Omni-S8 subwoofer and felt Denon was the way to go. I'm extremely happy with the Denon 2809CI as I feel the AV receiver perfectly fits my speaker package. Yes, the Denon is much more difficult to set up.........and yes the manual is not well written, but my two week experience tinkering with the Denon 1909 made the transition to the 2809CI very easy. I love the dynamic volume and advanced EQT system of the 2809CI over the Denon 1909. Not to mention the ability to fine tune the crossovers (120 htzs for the Mirage) and equalizer system for a superb sounding home theater system. I will say this, from now on I will only purchase my electronic equipment from Onecall.com. Price [...] were exceptional..........I'm now confident in purchasing on line!

If you cant program a DVR - steer clear of this one. If you are up for the challenge the reward is worth it. Brought life back to my Polk speakers from a 15 year old Pioneer VSX-900. The only draw back is that you cannot customize the decoders and save per each input (DVR, CD, VCR, Wii). Overall well worth the money. The dynamic volume (loud commercials) and dynamic EQ rate high on the WAF (wife approval factor)!
