This 55" high-def LCD HDTV is our primary tv now, located upstairs in our family room. We have Dish Network HD and also Samsung surround sound which works flawlessly with the whole system. Watching it is PURE PLEASURE. Bright, clear, crisp.....I can't imagine a tv being any better!

I initially planned to purchase the Sony XBR 8 after viewing that and the LG LED. However when I visited the [...] Magnolia section and noticed the image quality of the Samsung LN55 a950 this became the hands down winner. I purchased this from One Call due to their competitive pricing and excellent consumer rating. I made an offer to them and they accepted the offer which surprised me very much. I received the television promptly and it is even better than I remembered it to be. I am truly amazed at the picture clarity and quality. There is no better television at the moment. I must concur with the latest Consumer Reports electronics guide where they rated the Samsung LN 55 a950 as the top rated LCD television. I myself prefer it over any plasma I have observed as well. One Call was fabulous [...] the most outstanding television on the market today.

This is the best HDTV out for the money right now. Buy this and you will not be unhappy. It is much better than the newer model slim line samsungs.

Absolutely the best picture - both for HD cable and Blu-ray viewing. Better that Kuro and Sony... Plus OneCall was very good offering competitive price!
