Onkyo DV-CP706B

In most ways, this is an excellent player, and I highly recommend it because I like to have a few movies loaded up at any given time, not to mention that I'm not ready to give up my CD collection for the music files on my desktop. My only criticism is that the remote control button sizes and placement are not overly intuitive, but I guess I'll get used to them over time.

The standard definition hookup gives a good picture. There is a HDMI hookup but my Harmon Kardan receiver is older and does not include this. The Onkyo holds six discs. You can continue to play one disc while changing out the other five. I do not see any advantage to this feature. The remote control is a lot better than most. It has some weight to it. It is set up well with the pause button away from the play, stop, fast forward, etc. This is a plus especially using in a darkened room. The one minus to this player is when you load your dvd it does not start the disc up. You have to press play. I owned a Sony 5 disc dvd player that started the disc right away. However, the Onkyo is built better. The manual is well written and easy to understand.

Excellent product.Great quality. good Blue light and other blue displays looks great in Dim light. remote is good having some convienient buttons. hook up is easy. I use it for Listening music ,DVD viewing. 1080P upconverion is good. Just watch out for the unit Dimensions ,specially depth before buying so you hv enough depth available.
