We set it up in the living room on a stand that held a much smaller TV. I was concerned that this 42" would look awkward because it's wider than our stand. Well, it looks fine because the TV sits on it's own stand. The picture is sharp and clear. We've only had it set up for a couple of days so I'm looking forward to some of the other features that we haven't gotten to yet - like the internet connection and viewing home videos.
