Great looking unit, plan on hanging above the fireplace and the 1.2 inch thickness is perfect for that option. Rear firing speakers will be a problem, but I have already planned to add an A/V setup so that will override this issue. Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase. [...] I will continue to recommend to freinds.

This TV is more than excellent. Decided to go with it over the 8000 to save some coin since the only features I would be missing is a 2ms refresh (over the 7000's 4ms) and 240hz (over the 7000's 120hz). Neither of which would be noticeable to most humans. The image is ridiculously clear, bright and crisp and the color is outstanding. The 7000 and 8000 also come with DLNA (and a network port to plug your TV into your network) which allows you to stream media(movies and music) directly off your computer using the packaged Samsung app or if you need to stream a wider range of codecs, you can use a program like PlayOn (for mkv, mp4, or Netflix) which worked for me with almost no configuration. The built-in network also allows you to download new TV firmwares without having to contact Samsung with an issue like I have to do with my older Samsung HDTV. So that is a plus. Overall, I could not be happier with this television and recommend it to anyone looking to step into the LED/LCD TV market.

I have had this Samsung TV for about a month now, I use it for everyday activity, from game playing to movie watching to everyday television. There is no negative thing about the TV. Samsung has done a tremendous job in the eletronics industry [...] I would recommend[...] the product to everyone.
