Picture sharpness and amp; detail is the best we've seen. Even when viewed in Standard Definition, the picture quality is barely diminished. When viewed from a side angle of about 45 degrees, the picture quality is still very good. An HDMI cable was used in connecting the TV, which may enhance the picture and definitely helps eliminate cable clutter. Unpacking and attaching the base was no problem and the set-up presented little difficulty. The remote is 9" long and somewhat awkward to handle.I researched 42" HDTV's through Consumer Reports and reviews on a few websites and decided this model would be an excellent choice. We couldn't be more pleased with our first Toshiba TV [...]
