For the price you cant beat the sound quality. Plus the hdmi supports audio, which is huge for me. It was real quick and easy to install, and setup.

I'll keep buying Onkyo...
By Bobby Verified Buyer from Richmond, VA on 12/8/2009
Pros:
Clean Sound, Accurate Controls, Easy Setup, Good Remote Control
Cons:
Zone 2
Best Uses:
Home Theater
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This receiver is in my family room pushing 5.1 Klipsch speakers and powered subwoofer. I had an older model Onkyo that I bought from OneCall almost 5 years ago. The only reason i needed to a new one was because my old one didn't have HDMI input/output. On this one - i love the fact that I can go in with ANY input and come out with HDMI. MY old receiver wouldn't allow me to mismatch cables. If you came in Component - you went out component. I mentioned Zone 2 being a con. Let me first say that Zone 2 is much better than the older receiver. The old one wasn't capable of pushing enough power through the two speakers setup for zone 2 - so it always sounded like two back-surround speakers. This one pushed enough to make the speakers sound clean. The CON is that I still can not use Zone 2 for Cable/Satellite. We use our satellite radio quite a bit on directv. I would love to be able to use it on zone 2 as well when entertaining guests. This is still an issue. I can only use zone 2 for tuner. other than that - i love the audio/video quality of my blu ray tunning through this receiver. One other thing. I ran a 30 ft HDMI cable from receiver to TV and it still looks really good on 1080p.. and then you throw this cheap price on it - good lawd. This is the best deal ever. Thank you One Call and Onkyo.
