Let me begin by saying that I went through two Samsung LCDs before settling on this beautiful Panasonic plasma. I just wasn't satisfied with the way Blu-rays and DVDs were displayed on my previous LCDs. Unfortunately, today's market really pushes the consumer toward LCD and away from plasma.That being said, I think that the Panasonic 50V10 provides the most natural-looking, amazing HD picture that you can get. The 96hz feature is great for Blu-rays because it allows the films to be displayed in their natural 24p frame rate. That is one of the main reasons that I chose this display over the Panasonic G10.This TV is perfect for video games too. I have my PS3 and Wii hooked up and everything looks amazing. No issues whatsoever with image retention or burn-in. However, one thing I would recommend is breaking in the TV with some color slides or full screen viewing only for the first 120-150 hours or so. This isn't completely necessary, but supposedly it helps the phosphors to age evenly across the display so you don't end up with areas of the screen that are darker or lighter than others.Thus far, I haven't had any issues with my set (purchased in July) [...]. I admit that I was a little hesitant ordering a high ticket item like this online, but my worries were unfounded. If I have one regret, it's that I couldn't afford to get a 54" or 58"!

I bought this HDTV to replace a 56" Samsung DLP HDTV. I only thought my Samsung had a great picture. At first I was worried about going to the smaller size, but I don't even notice it the picture on this TV is that much better. The viewing angle is fantastic, the colors are incredible. I love everything about this TV.

We read numerous reviews about the great quality of this TV from stores and [@] and all the reviews were correct...this is the best plasma TV around!! Better than the LCDs and LEDs I looked at around the same size
