The PureSound Processor is a one-of-a-kind technology developed over 12 years, tested by science and audio experts, has six patents (with more pending) and defies all odds to be the purest sound reproduction device on the market today.

The PureSound Processor circuit provides an economical solution for achieving perfect phase unity between amplifiers and multiple driver systems. The PureSound Processor is not a crossover, it is a coupling unit. The Problems in Existing Speaker Performance
Lenz Law states:
"Whenever a magnetic field expands or collapses across a coil of wire, a voltage is created going in the opposite direction to the current that created the magnetic field," also known as Counter EMF.

Our goal is to achieve "Pure sound in - Pure sound out". No added distortions created from Lenz Law. We did not want to have to color the sound in any way. We believe that an audio professional should be able to color the sound in any way he or she chooses. Yet this cannot be achieved with the present day speaker drivers. We recognize that existing audio reproduction systems are inherently limited by the following factors:
  • Phase mismatch; which at some point can cancel out each other`s audio signals.
  • Unchecked Counter EMF (Electro Motive Force); which creates distortion and amplifier heat build-up.
  • High voice coil temperature; which reduces speaker driver efficiency.
These three factors reduce the efficiency and quality of the speaker system (amplifier and speaker). We viewed solving these inherent limitations as the "Holy Grail" of speaker design.

Visual Clarification & Research
To visually help clarify those inherent problems, we present:
Graph 1: Conventional Speakers
The ultimate test to visually see the "pure in-pure out" concept is by generating a square wave into the amplifier/speaker relationship. As you can see in conventional amp-speaker connections, a square wave is already distroted at the input. (See graph one). Counter EMF causes this. Counter EMF is generated in two places 1) the single coil in conventional crossovers and 2) the voice coil in the speaker driver. (For further clarification see "What is Counter EMF?")

What is EMF?
EMF stands for Electro Motive Force. For our purposes it is a force or "field" of magnetism. It can move with the current or against it. When EMF moves against the current it creates distortion or a ripple in the current. For example when you paddle a canoe on a calm lake, the canoe travels relatively easily thru the water. If there is a breeze then waves are created on the water. When you paddle against these waves you have to work harder and the water is considered "distorted". That is what your amplifier does when it has to deal with counter EMF. It has to work harder to go against the "breeze" or in our case, against the counter EMF.

What is counter EMF?
Counter EMF is created when the voice coil is driven in one direction by the audio current and it is left to return by way of the suspension in the speaker driver. This in most cases is too slow. The force of the speaker suspension drives the voice coil back through the magnetic field creating a current that is not part of the intended music, thus causing distortion. A second source of distortion in counter EMF is created in the single roll-off coil in the crossover. When a current is passed through this coil, a magnetic field develops around it. This field collapses at some point, and as it does, a counter-current is created causing distortion, which again is not part of the intended music program. Because the PureSound Processor utilizes a patented system it eliminates most of the distortion caused by the back EMF.

Does the PureSound Processor retain all the harmonics in music and voice?
Quite simply… yes. The PureSound Processor system is the only circuit capable of preserving the harmonics of all music and voice passed through it. It is a fact that a square wave is really a sine wave with all of its associated harmonic. The PureSound Processor system connects the speaker as part of the amplifier circuit so that its two way coil moves back and forth in unison with the signals in the amplifier. In essence it "couples" the speaker to the amplifier.

Unlike single coil crossovers or voice coils alone, (as can be seen in graph one) no aberrant signals are created. The PureSound Processor system is capable of passing a square wave faithfully from amplifier to speaker without adding distortion. (See Graph Two.)

How does the PureSound Processor reduce heat build-up?
The PureSound Processor circuit maintains efficiency of the drivers by reducing heat build-up. It does this because the voice coil is controlled by the Pure Sound Processor system in both directions (not just one). The voice coil is maintained in the region of the audio driver gap where the maximum magnetic field is present and thereby reduces power compression by limiting excessive coiled out of gap current (therefore limiting heat build-up in the driver). Also the amplifier runs cooler because it is not fighting against the Counter EMF generated in traditional audio systems. (For an example see "What is EMF?")

Why 8 Ohms not only sounds better, but lets you listen longer
Here`s the mini science lesson: Ohm is a measure of resistance to energy flow. The higher the number the greater the energy resistance.

Why, you ask, do ohms matter when choosing the best earphones? Simply put, it affects how much harmonics and the quality of the music that you are hearing. The lower the better.

Now, back to science:

Battery life + sound clarity. The higher the number of ohms, the higher the energy resistance of the sound processor or voice coil and the higher the energy needed to push the sound through the higher resistance. The ClarityOne™ earphones run at only 8ohms < which is at least half of any other earphone. Most run at 16 or even 32 ohms! That means your battery and player has to work harder to pump out your favourite tunes in any other earphone sucking the life out of your battery one note at a time. Much more harmonics are lost across a higher resistance or ohms than a lower resistance. Meaning higher resistance less harmonics.

Why, you ask, do other earphones have such high ohms? Well, it all comes down to performance. Audio is challenged or distorted at lower ohms with traditional cross overs or voice coils. so other earphone makers have to run it at higher ohms to mask distortion. The negative side to this is that it makes your player work harder and it eliminates sound quality.
