First Purchase from One Call. Great experience with order process and customer service. This unit won top honors in the Consumer Reports reviews. Product was defective. First unit had no audio output. Purchased second unit locally and it had audio output but would not read most discs....even brand new ones. I am disappointed in LG. I went with another brand and payed $200 more. It had no HDD or WI-FI, but it really performs and I'm thrilled with what I ended up with. One Call is awesome...I will be back!

        Can you record off-the-air TV? Is there a program guide? WHAT BROADBAND SPEED DO YOU REALLY NEED FOR THIS TO WORK? HOW MUCH WOULD THE DOWNLOADS COST? WOULD THERE BE A DATA CHARGE FROM THE BROADBAND PROVIDER IN ADDITION TO THE MOVIE COST?? THE BD690 HAS NO TUNER, CORRECT?

          A:

          The LG BD690 cannot record off the air programming . It is only for downloaded content from the web. You would need to consult with your service provider for the cost of the downloads. There is a lot of free content online . The BD690 does not have a tuner.
