I loved this years version of the TV but it was to expensive so I purchased last year's and I could barely tell the difference (except for the price).

We purchased this TV about 1 month ago. Overall, we're happy with the TV. The picture in HD is very clear and bright, the colors are good and crisp and the sound is very good. However, there are several things that could be better:The sound in our local retailer's small square room was made us smile, the simulated surround sound sounded great. However, in the real world it was a bit different. In our 18x18 family room with 10' ceiling (that's also open in the back to our large kitchen) the overall sound is good but not as great as in the store. The center and front "speaker" sounds are great, but the surround "speaker" sound is just okay ... it doesn't like our sliding glass door, the window treatments or the room being open in the back. This will of course vary from room to room and if your room is truly square-ish it should sound great. Of course, the soundbar will never sound as good as a very good quality surround sound system, but this TV's soundbar with a good subwoofer (we're using a 200W Polk), overall sounds really good. Another issue to note are the colors. Vivid colors (very bright red and vivid pinks) bloom ... the color management doesn't really help. Change one color and another goes off. So the "true color" function in my opinion is not useful.While on color, blacks have been a real hassle. The blacks wash out in the background. I've gotten movies and regular TV to look pretty good, but trying to play a video game is almost impossible. I've turned the picture to bright and turned the backlight to maximum, but it's still not nearly bright enough. That said, I'm using an OLD Xbox with the first 2 versions of Halo ... I'm really hoping that it's just that the old games were made to work on a much brighter tube TV and that the new Xbox 360 games will look brighter since they are now made to work with flat panel HDTVs - which aren't nearly as bright as the old tube TV's were.Overall, the sound issue is very minor and will vary from room to room, the color issue being very minor and the black issue is HOPEFULLY mainly an old game issue. With these aside, this HDTV, for the delivered price is a great deal. [...].I recommend both this TV and Onecall.

I had been wating for over a year for the price on this model to come down. The remote is not very good but I have a great univeral remote that fixes that problem. Easy to setup. And the sound is great with my added wireless subwoofer. Perfect addition to the living room.

TV is a great solution (when wall mounted) if you are looking for a 5.1 system but do not want to take up all your living room space with multiple components and wires everywhere. While not as good as a true 5.1 surround, it does do an admirable job of simulating and when connected to a powered sub, it sounds great. I shopped around for a couple months and this is definately a best bang for the buck system out there.

At this point, about 3 weeks after receiving, we are quite happy with the TV and enjoy it very much.
