I am very pleased with this television. I mainly compared Sony, Samsung and LG models. I chose Mitsubishi mainly out of brand loyalty and my belief that they still make a great TV for the dollar. My previous TV is a Mitsubishi 26-inch model that I purchased in 1991. I still have it and it is a great picture for SD.I spent several months mulling over the move to HD. I move frequently for work, so flexibility is important as the next home I have will have different characteristics and room dimensions. For me, 52 inches was the largest size I felt comfortable purchasing knowing I'd need to change environments in the next couple years. If I had unlimited space and were staying in my current home permanently, I may have chosen the Mitsubishi WD-73837 73-inch 1080p DLP Rear Projection HDTV because the quality of picture coupled with size is simply incredible for the price. If you haven't viewed the 837 series, I recommend you take a look at them. Other sizes are 65 inch and 82 inch. DLPs are significantly more energy efficient than LCDs and especially plasmas.Anyhow, this TV performs really well in my 17x19-foot viewing room in both high and low-light situations, complete with a Denon AVR-1910 7.1 receiver and 10-year old Mirage speakers. I use only broadcast HD with TiVo and NetFlix for programming as well as PlayStation 3 Blu-ray and minimal gaming. The color and contrast is incredible. There is little to no glare. The minimal framing around the screen fits my less-is-more mentality and transitional decor in a practical living room with international flair. The TV fits the environment whether on or off. The only con I can think of is that the screen doesn't go totally black (as black as when the TV is off) between programming streams such as between a show and a commercial. It appears dark gray in certain areas. I'm not sure if this is typical of all LCDs or just this one.

Compared with other LCD's in the price range and even below the picture was not that good and I have never like the Mits style of interface for connections

I did a lot of research online and chose this Mitsubishi. I have been a Mitsubishi TV buyer for about 25 years and never been disappointed. The picture is great and I combined it with a Sony Blu Ray Home Theater system and WOW! And I used the Zip installation offered on [...] and they were exteremely fast and professional and well worth the money.
So far so good!!

I have owned 5 Mitsubishi tvs and have never had a problem. That is the primary reason I purchased this one. Others were less expensive, but with my history and Mitsubishi, I had to go with them.

I bought this television because of its thin frame and reduced glare from windows in the room, as well as its good picture. I wasn't disappointed in any way. So far, I've been pleased.
