      I did quite a bit of shopping before buying this TV. The only other TV that I saw with a comparable picture was a Pioneer Elite (but I didn't have [$] to drop on a TV). The blacks are black and the colors are much more true than other Plasmas that I've seen (not to mention that it blows LCD's away). I recommend this TV very highly.

          I have a dark room and decided to go with a newer plasma. What can I say? This HDTV has a great picture that truly shows itself in HD sports and Blueray.

          Went all HDMI for connections and the front panel HDMI is great for gaming access.

          I bought a sound system too that came in later than the TV so I got to hear the built in speakers. They are great and will do fine for anyone who does not wish to spend the extra $$$.

          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
