I find the ACB222SM adjustable shoe mount to be very adaptable to a number of uses. I am shooting with a Strobist philosophy, and I received my first one when I ordered the XS softbox kit for my FL-50R. I then built a beauty dish from a Stainless steel mixing bowl, and riveted a mounting plate on the back to mount the adjustable shoe mount to. With this setup, I can shoot my FL-50R in the wireless mode, and the beauty dish performs beyond my dreams. My next project was to build a mounting frame for a 24x36 softbox I had aquired. I fashioned my own conector setup, and utilised two of these adjustable shoe mounts to fire through the softbox. So, I can double up the flash guns, and pump twice the light through that softbox. I have no doubts, with a little imagination, you can find a multitude of other uses for this. The sweetest thing is, the at this price, you aren't going to break the bank.
