About Me Musically Inclined, Practical
I use this receiver with a pair of Cerwin Vega E-78's (bookshelf spkrs.)for stereo,Bose 161 (surrounds)and VCS 10(center)for theatre use and the seperates sound very well together. Can not wait to hook up a good sub. The Receiver runs and stays strong over time with no listening fatigue after 6 straight hrs. of music & video. I am glad I purchased the Pioneer VSX 818 and I know that adding a pair of floor standing spkrs. will have me smiling ear to ear. No it isn't high end equipment yet it still performs like a champ.Only two draw backs for me: the loose rear component connections and the spkr. screw terminals that has like 1/32 instead of 1/16 thread. There is too much good to say about it but lastly I have just begun making connections to this unit (XM-SIRIUS-HDMI-IPOD-)I am going to use them all.
