Comments about Sharp LC-70LE734U 70-inch 240Hz 1080p LED LCD HDTV:
I have been stalking the AVS forums reading up on the slightly lower end sister unit to this one (the '732). We were preparing to move to a new house w/ a smaller living room that was going to be overwhelmed by my 73" Mits DLP due to the depth. I decided to go w/ the 734 since it was only about $100 dollars more expensive. So far it has been great. I have tweaked the picture, but haven't had it professionally calibrated yet. For where I have it, it is pretty much perfect. It handles brighter light conditions better than a plasma. The only issue with lighting right now is that the bezel is glossy so you will get reflection off of that even if you aren't getting it off the screen. The screen itself seems to be a semi-gloss/semi-matte which again for my viewing conditions is great. I have it attached to a HTPC which I use as my cable box/DVR (I'm using the Infinitv4 cablecard tuner) and I have all of my BDs ripped to a network attached storage device and stream them to the TV. They look beautiful on this TV. The most important factor of course is that my wife is quite happy with the fact that it doesn't clutter our living room since it is wall mounted. One final note the page states that the TV has 240HZ fine motion which is sharp speak for true 240 HZ, but it actually has 240 hz Aquamotion (sharp speak for 120 Hz refresh with a strobe effect that simulates 240 Hz) Not sure I could tell the difference but something to keep in mind if you are capable of differentiating.
