Featuring 1000 watts of power (RMS) and taking advantage of the advanced audio performance offered by Blu-ray Disc technology, your favorite movies and music will be taken to a new level of excitement. Simplicity rules with BRAVIA(R) Theater Sync(TM) technology, allowing you to control your entire home theater system with the press of a button for easy operation. Sony's DIGITAL MEDIA PORT (DMP) interface allow you to connect optional accessories to play back music from Bluetooth(R)-enabled mobile phones, networked computers or select iPod(R) or Walkman(TM) digital music players. For optimum versatility and convenience, the receiver's HDMI(TM) interface transmits both audio and video while offering 1080p and LPCM support through a single cable (Blu-ray Disc player and HDMI cable sold separately).

BRAVIA(R) Theater Sync(TM)
As a leader in products with HDMI(TM) connectivity, Sony has created BRAVIA(R) Theater Sync(TM) technology to go beyond simple audio and video transmission. When combined with a select number of BRAVIA(R) LCD televisions and other Sony audio and video products, control functions will also be transmitted via the HDMI cable (sold separately)2. With “One Touch Play", operations that took several steps have been reduced to one. Press the PLAY button on the remote, watch the audio and/or the video component(s) turn on, then the BRAVIA(R) television will turn on and switch to the correct video input.2

DIGITAL MEDIA PORT
Play and control your favorite stored music seamlessly from your home theater system. Connect DMP accessories to play back music from Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones, networked computers or select iPod(R) or Network Walkman(TM) digital music players (optional accessories sold separately). The DMP accessories include a PC Client Ready device (TDM-NC1), Bluetooth(R) receiver (TDM-BT1) and Docking Stations compatible with select Network Walkman(TM) players (TDM-NW1) and iPod(R) products (TDM-iP1).

HDMI Active Intelligence
The receiver detects and receives the best possible video and audio signals from all connected devices; making connection and performance as simple as plugging in a single wire. Sony's HDMI Active Intelligence produces both audio and video through one HDMI cable (sold separately).
