This little radio reminds me of the old "transister" radios we had when I was a kid. Same size, but much better quality in both the construction and sound. I had been seaarching for a small porable radio to mount on my mobility scooter, this is perfect.

I live in a terrible reception area, radio has no problem pulling in AM and FM stations, even without the antenna extended.

Even though this is a small unit, it picks up all the out of town stations that my larger tabletop radio gets. You have to turn the dial very slowly or you'll skip right over distant stations. It also has plenty of volume for it's size.
