My wife and i purchased this television over the weekend and my only regret is waiting as long as i did to get an HDTV. Watching ESPN in HD is like night and day in terms of clarity and picture quality. I was on the fence between this model and an XBR. The XBR is great but for me i can't see spending the extra money as this model delivers. I have never been disappointed with any Sony product i have owned over the years and this TV is easy to set up and use. The menus are user friendly and took about 30 minutes to unload it from the car and set it up. I highly recommend this product to anyone who i looking for a really good value and high quality product.

I purchased this TV in November of 2009 and the picture is great, the sound is good. One of the deciding factors in purchasing the TV was the network / internet video capabilities. When I attempt to activate these features, the entire TV becomes useless as it will not stay powered on for more than a couple minutes, I have contacted sony support on multiple occasions at this point and have had multiple service calls and there has been no resolution to this issue. This would probably be a great 5 star TV if it worked as advertised.

Comments about Sony KDL-46W4100 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz Bravia LCD HDTV:
i purchaced the tv Jan. 2010. after a year some shadowing started to happen in the corners. at the 2 year mark black horizontal lines appeared on the screen. called called my warrenty service and they said the the LCD is bad the same problem thousands of other owners have. the warrenty will not covers the repair because it is $3500 for a new screen. they offered me $480 dollers or a referbished model. they recomend i take the cash because the sony modles are prone to this issue and it would probably happen again. its true, this is a disposibale tv.

My husband & i have tried everything to try to fix the picture. We can't read the words at the bottom of the picture or the sides. The peoples heads are cut of at the top of the screen. I would not purchase another sony. The Sony TV in our bedroom at times loses the sound. We have to reset everything. Sony isn't what it use to be.
Avoid like the Plague

First, this tv operated for less than a year as it sat in its box for a month and a half while I remodeled the room it was going in. After that I had just random time where it turned itself off over the course of the year, nothing reproducible. The it dies on me at almost exactly 13 months from date of purchase. Sony's reponse was tuff. Second, the worst customer service experiences I have EVER had has been with Sony. After being routed to India, they say sorry...nothing we can do, and if you ask for an address to complain to, "there is no address." What a joke...haha...you don't like us and we do not care so there is no place to complain. I bought a samsung for 1/2 the price and that is better. AVOID Sony at all costs!!! I should have filed a complaint with the BBB....
