This camcorder takes an awsome picture. The frame size is decent for a Hard Disk Drive model. The eye piece is really nice to have on those real sunny days were it cast shadows on the lcd screen making it hard to see. The software is quite boring not a whole lot you can do with it. I solved this problem by purchasing NERO 9 which allows me both to edit the movies and make either regular DVD's or AVCHD High Definition Disks that can play in Blue Ray players

The HDR-SR11 takes excellent, excellent videos. Very easy to convert video footage to AVHCD format -- needed to play on your Blu-Ray player (the basic software to convert the video footage comes with the camera). Just burn on a DVD and play. Watching the video on my 58" plasma is just incredible. I think the camera is easy to use. Like any new product, you'll have to get used to the controls. One final thought, this camera simply blows the doors off a "standard" definition camera. For anyone with children, this is must have item. The 60 Gig hard drive is large enough for most, it even has room for extra memory with an additional 8 gig memory stick (this will set you back about $100.00) but you really don't need it.
