Motionflow(TM) 120Hz Technology

Having traveled extensively the one thing I found lacking in most HD LCD was the ability to capture nature in its clarity while in motion; waves, birds, waving grass plains, etc. ~ this Sony handles them all! Partnered with a great Blu-Ray player this home theater combination that will create significant zoning; where you look around the room and realize you wouldn't be missed by your family if you left for a 3 day trip. Oh! Don't forget a ballgame; it'll have you reaching for foul balls! Looks great on table or wall mounted and viewing from odd angles doesn't deplete the performance. Only wish the remote had a sleep timer button.

If you are a dish network customer please note there may be some interference with the Dish remote. If you notice the remote not working in the evening hours or early morning, turn off the back light under tv settings. this drove my husband and son crazy for over a week until some research came up with this to try. I hope this saves anyone the frustrations we had trying to find the solution!!

The picture on this tv is great froom the front the most clear of all the tv's looked at. It does seem to have too much white when seen from the sides. Wouldn't notice except that the picture is so nice from the front. Everything else about the tv is great. This tv is for everday use not home theater.

The picture quality is truly outstanding with HD channels and Blu-ray movies. Sometimes, we reduce the "Vivid" picture setting to "Standard" because from 13 feet (our viewing distance), Vivid can be too much. I also bought an inexpensive home theater sound system and a Sony Blu-ray DVD player in hopes that the Bravia sync option would work seamlessly. This has been a minor disappointment and might be due to the way I have connected all the components. VERY HAPPY with the TV.This was my first large purchase via internet. This is a great television. The picture for high definition channels and blue ray movies are stunning. Standard definition channels, however, leave a lot to be desired. They are grainy and not as clear as they are on a standard definition television.

The Sony Bravia Z 46 inch is like most flat screen TV's in that it is not as good on sound as I was used to with a high quality conventional TV.
This set is very easy to view with daylight entering the room from the side. We have had no problems with this TV.

I bought this T.V. to replace my old 35"Sony tube.This T.V. has a great picture.Really sharp & the frame is much smaller than other T.V.s I have seen.I also bought a Samsung A650 52" prior to the Sony & I really love the Samsung.I bought the Sony because I didn't like the p&p options on the Samsung.When I got the Sony I found that it was not better in this field but worse because the Samsung has p&p and p in p the Sony only had p&p.All my friends think the Sony has a better picture than the Samsung but when watching a movie the Sony doesn't have the same effect.When watching the Samsung it looks like you are actually on the set filming the movie.I had never seen this effect on a television before nor have any of my friends.When watching the Sony you kinda get that effect but not near the Samsung.I think the Sony picture is a bit darker but sharper.I rated both t.v.s 5 star because they are but I like the Samsung just a bit more.

I had read reviews online that many liked Samsung's LCD TVs. There were a few complaining about the Samsung's bezel containing a distracting reflectionof light.
So we visited the showroom to see for ourselves, and what a difference it made! This z4100 was right next to the Samsung 46" 750 and I could not see any difference in picture quality at 1080i.
But the bezel of the Samsung was truly annoying. The Sony's thin bezel design is so much nicer.
The features between the 2 models were very similar, so we went with the Sony and have had no second thoughts. The PC is connected via HDMI as well as a PS3. Sure, the SD picture is not very good - and I didn't expect it to be - but 720p, 1080i and 1080p HD programs look fantastic.
We used a calibration DVD and were able to tweak the standard settings to fit our room.
So if you're on the fence as we were, I say go see for yourself before you buy.

Nice tv. I researched quite a bit and I am very satisfied with this set. Picture quality is very sharp and clear. Small bezel looks great mounted on the wall over my fireplace. I have a smaller Samsung that I realy like but I did not want their 46" with a touch of color as it is distracting and will get old looking fast.

The panel is great for mounting or if your looking for a discrete panel without the need for good speakers because you have your own home theater system. Beauty about the Z is actually its understated simplistics looks. Unfortunately my experience with this purchase was ruined because the TV was defective and it took three weeks after its delivery to get fixed.

As a TV it is great, but as a monitor for my PC it is superb. I have a BlueRay drive and a video card with HDMI output. The system is completed with optical audio from the TV to a home theater system.

We love the new Sony 46" Bravia LCD TV. Not only do 720p/1080i images look great, but standard DVDs and 480p images look great as well. We were watching Dr. Seuss' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" on it the other night, and the cartoon never looked so good. We love watching football on this TV because you can see downfield, almost like the quarterback does when he drops back to pass. There are tons of adjustments to the picture, so you can tune it to match your taste. It's hard to tell, but we think the 120 Hz refresh rate does improve watching sports or images that are fast moving, when compared to a standard 60 Hz refresh rate.
One minor glitch was the stand has the TV mounted at less than 90 degree right angle. Perhaps there's some adjustment we missed. However, we're not going to try to change it since we're seated slightly below the height of the TV in my viewing room, and the TV tilts down a little, facing directly at you, so it's actually OK in my situation.

The only one thing that surprises me is the color shift issue when watch at an angle. The spec said 176 degree viewable but about 130 degree angle the color shifted so much the image looks "grayish" like viewing a cheap computer monitor at an angle in the old day. I currently own Sony XBR5 52", Sony BRAVIA KDL-46WL135, this Sony KDL-46Z4100, and a Sharp Aquas model U65 46". None of my other TV shifts color this bad (extremely slight shift that it is barely noticeable) but the KDL46Z4100 shifts the worst I ever seen. I should have check out in the store before buying it online but my experiences from the other three purchases without this problem I just did not expected it.
I rated it three stars for that reason, I will not buy it or recommend it to a friend (unless they always sit in front of it watch it straight on)

This TV is still going for higher prices everywhere else. other departments wouldn't match the price I got from OneCall, including 6th Ave. Electronics and they were good before.
The image is amazing and you don't need to set it up to Vivis colors as the Standard setting is so real and natural that looks amazing. Try it on for yourself. Samsung has nothing on this LCD.

This is a great TV for the money. Sharp picture, good colors, This tv is our primary tv for our family room gets lots of use, we put a Vizio in our play room for our kids. The Sony blows away in every aspect the kids tv.
The Sony does get warm and put out some heat.
Great LCD for the money, I looked at plasma & LCD for many weeks, to our family this was the best picture for us.

Great picture and sound. You never regret buying quality. Talked to a repairmen and he highly recommended staying away from Samsung even though cheaper in price.With any HDTV you will be disappointed unless you have HD programming. Thats all I watch anymore.Was very skeptical about making such a big purchase on line with [...] Just make sure of your choice, since they don't take returns unless damaged and then they send you a replacement.

Really makes a difference to see all HD and the clarity and color of x.v.Color and other specs in this TV with a budget cut from the XBR series.
