Motionflow(TM) 120Hz Technology

Only downside i can think of is that i'd love to see more of these tv's include a more robust sound system, much like the Mitsubishi models (which have a comparitively worse pic). At least a sub out woulda been nice. With that said, i sold all high end to top of the line major brands, and i bought this one, after LOTS of research and in person comparison of picture and features.

This TV has very poor viewing angle. Although the image is still readable at 45 deg angle the colors are very dull and inaccurate. This TV must be watched at +/- 30deg of the axis not more.

This Sony 46Z4100 was my 2nd Sony LCD TV in a year. I bought it in May with very good price. My 1st LCD TV was Sony 52XBR6 purchased in September 2008. I mounted the Z4100 on the wall in the secondary bedroom for family to enjoy upstairs. The Z is very close to XBR6 in image and sound quality. I believe that XBR6 has better image details even though most people may not notice the difference. I will recommend both Sony TV's.

It is perfect if you have a small built in cabinet to work with. The narrow bezel gives you maimum screen for your space. I did think the picture was a little dark with the presets, even the vivid setting.

Great TV all around. If you're looking at this TV you most likely already have a decent stereo so the poor sound wouldn't be an issue. Great picture and connection options. This is a good basic monitor, just beware that the sound is weak unless connected to an external receiver. Setup is easy, but you do pay the price for the Sony badge on the front of the unit.

The colors and picture are fantastic. When it shows 720p, the picture is so clear, unbelievable the details you can see. When the channel is not rated by the cable company, it is not as clear, no fault of the TV.

Impressed that the image can appear 3 dimensional - can't wait until we have the chance to watch a blueray on this TV. We have only over the air and a standard DVD player, but it has an outstanding picture and good sound. Looks great with the Xbox 360 connected and set to 1080i. Not real impressed with the media module due to the lack of the ability to connect to Netflix (the system works good, but the content that is available leaves alot to be desired) with most of the good shows (even the TV shows) needing to be pay-per-view. Overall, this is one very good LCD TV. Onecall has shown me that they are a very good company with great prices [...].

pretty happy with the deal i got from onecall.com. Sony is closing older models and brining in very expensive ones. so i needed to buy Z series before they go out of market. fantastic picture. great sound. my living room has plenty of natural light, so Sony works better to reduce glare.- firmware update worked well following Sony website's direction- i tested picture view feature from USB drive. worked well.- connected laptop through vga port. worked nice. watched [@]. nice & crisp.Feature that I could not run:- Sony Bravia DLNA feature. It is tricky. I ran DLNA server on my PC. I hooked up LAN port of the TV to my router. It could not find out DLNA server. I will have to dig more into this.Cons:- does not play any video from USB drive. Same thing for DLNA (as I see from user's manual). So it is kind of reduced DLNA player.- remote is big. some people don't like that. i don't find it a problem though. User interface is fantastic.

Prior to this TV, I bought a Toshiba 46". The quality of the picture was poor so I returned it and ordered the Sony. I couldn't be more pleased with the clarity of the picture and the ease of use.

Can't get tv guide feature to work.
Got channels at first without an antenna, but lost them on a cloudy day. I need to try an antenna.
TV looks very nice and was intuitive to setup.

It took me a while to set the time after my power went out... not very intuitive menus, and the remote is a little tricky to operate because the arrow menu is really close to other buttons. All in all, it's a sweet TV for the price, and I'm happy with it.
Note: If you're buying the silver model, the only thing that's actually silver is the front face of the TV. Everything else is black. I was disappointed to discover this.

I did a lot of research on this and found that sony bravia is a great tv compared to others like sharp aquos and samsung tvs the picture is clear and vibrant it works well in my basement. I also purchased the bravia surround system and I am pleased with the preformance.

This is the second one I have purchased. I started with the 40" for the Living roomand bought the 46" for the Den. If you are building a home theatre, the"Z" model is the perfect foundation to start with. It has many expansion capabilities. There is nothing not to like about this top of the line Sony Bravia. I think it is better than the Sony XBR series at a far better price!

This is great TV. The only thing is that it takes time to set up the right colors due to there being so many options. Also the motionflow is taking me time to get used to although it's looking better. :)Definitely recommend it if you don't need the XBR line of Sony. The Z series tvs are the closest ones to them and are sold at a better price.

Sony makes the grade with the Z series. Great picture even on non HD programing. Glare is nearly nonexistence. Sound is good, but I'd like to add a surround system at some point. Functions on the remote are clear and easy to navigate menus. Received this unit in time for the final four. Can't wait until football season starts. Just a stunning picture.[...]

Beautiful TV. Georgeous picture. Great for reduced glare.
One caveat: The set has a limited field of view. If you view it even at a limited angle the colors will wash out. Solve this by placing the set on a swivel stand. This is the only negative about this set.

i did not like the layout of the remote control for this Z series model. the set up interface could be better and easier to navigate as well. besides that, the picture quality and design of the TV is great, as was expected from a sony product.

Very, very happy with this purchase! The slim brushed metal bezel looks great which is personal preference I guess, but I can't get into the 6" piano black borders of other sets. The picture over HD satellite, Blu-ray, etc. is just awesome and the USB and ethernet connectivity is a huge bonus. I was real interested in this, but couldn't find my info online, but after playing with it, it's great. Hard drives, jump drives, ethernet servers all work very, very well and very easily for viewing pictures in slideshow or manual scrolling format. Overall, very pleased with the value of this purchase despite there being other 46" sets for less money.[...]
