1080P DLP® Display
High Definition Television display powered by Texas Instruments` latest 1080P DLP® chip. In combination with Mitsubishi exclusive light engines, over 2 million pixels of the highest high-def are delivered for the most detailed HD picture for a variety of today`s and tomorrow`s sources.

6-Color Processor
Mitsubishi's 6-Color Processor produces brighter colors, a wider range of colors and whiter whites.

Smooth 120Hz™
All light hold devices have some degree of motion blurring in fast moving images or videos. Light hold devices include DLP, LCD, Plasma, CRT, etc. Smooth 120hz is a unique Mitsubishi technology in the 833 series 1080p DLP TVs and 144 and 244 series of 1080p LCD TVs. This feature displays more fluid, natural and smoother fast moving images, free from motion blur. Removing motion blur and improving motion performance requires innovation and expertise. By unlocking a new level of motion reproduction, fast motion scenes are now much smoother and natural.

xvColor™
x.v.Color™ is the new standard in high definition color! The x.v.Color™ Wide Color Palette enables more color than ever before for breathtaking realism and vivid, natural colors. Maximize High Definition color performance.

Deep Color
Deep Color creates smooth transitions between different shades and eliminates color bands and complements x.v.Color™`s wide color pallet. Enabled by HDMI™ 1.3, Deep Color goes beyond previous 8-bit HDTV.

PerfectColor™
PerfectColor™ is an exclusive Mitsubishi feature that gives your customer the ability to adjust the intensity of six separate colors independently of each other and separately for every input. PerfectColor™ is a full color matrix, much more powerful than a conventional color intensity control with red versus green color balance.

PerfecTint™
PerfecTint™ is an exclusive Mitsubishi feature that provides the ability to adjust the tint of six separate colors independently of each other and separately for every input.

DarkDetailer™
DarkDetailer™ is a Mitsubishi exclusive technology that uses a dynamic aperture system to add depth and texture to the picture. Dark Detailer improves contrast ratio by more than four times, giving you a wide array of colors and shades that are essential for optimal viewing of dark, dramatic scenes while also providing maximum brightness.

Tru1080p™ Processing
Keep your signal the way it was meant to be seen. Mitsubishi`s Tru1080p™ Processing maintains 1080p high definition signals as 1080p from beginning to end. All 1080p DVI-I, HDMI™, IEEE 1394 and 1080p Broadcast signals are passed through with no down conversions. The advancements of 1080p DLP® technology for HDTV viewing deliver over 2 million pixels to you on-screen for a full and true 1920 x 1080 resolution. With Mitsubishi 1080p DLP® HDTVs, you can experience the best that high definition has to offer today and be ready to enjoy all of the 1080p sources that are on the horizon.

Plush1080p™
HDTVs can display any video signal. For a 1080p HDTV, even the high quality 720p and 1080i HDTV signals being broadcast need to be reformatted in order to fill the TV screen with a sharp, clear picture. Mitsubishi developed Plush1080p™ technology to do just this—with the highest quality possible. It scales the picture precisely, with minimal side effects. And 1080i, currently the most common form of HDTV signal, is spectacular at 1080p. The conversion is precise, resulting in previously unachievable detail and clarity. In short, Plush1080p™ technology makes everything else look better on a 1080p HDTV.

4D Video Noise Reduction
Mitsubishi`s exclusive 4D Video Noise Reduction uses advanced algorithms to better identify video noise from fine detail and correct the signal rather than distort it. Video noise is caused by distortions in the video signal and makes the picture too look grainy or snowy. As signal resolutions improve with the introduction of DVD, digital cable/ satellite and HDTV, the loss of sharpness produced by most noise reduction circuits becomes more noticeable. Mitsubishi`s advanced 4D Video Noise Reduction corrects the image in four dimensions: horizontally, vertically, within each frame and across multiple frames to provide an image that is crystal clear and extraordinarily detailed.

DeepField™ Imager
DeepField™ Imager constantly adjusts brightness and contrast for optimum settings in all areas of the picture. It can even optimize complex scenes containing both dark and bright areas. DeepField™ Imager analyzes 135 sectors of the picture in real time. It determines the optimum blend of contrast and brightness settings within the picture using advanced Mitsubishi algorithms. Based on picture analysis it dynamically adjusts for areas that are too high or low in contrast and/or too dark or bright displaying the best balanced picture in every scene.

SharpEdge™
SharpEdge™ is the latest in Mitsubishi`s edge-definition signal processing system. It enhances horizontal and vertical edges for stunning picture precision. SharpEdge™ senses the vertical boundary and amplifies it while minimizing distortion. The end result is crisp and sharp edges.

3D Ready
All Mitsubishi Diamond 1080p DLP HDTV's are "3D Ready". This feature allows you the ability to be immersed in your favorite video game, movie or sporting event. As more content becomes available in 3D, this functionality will develop into one of the most exciting HDTV experiences.

Easy Connect
Connectivity made easy! Mitsubishi`s ClearThought® Easy Connect simplifies set-up and day-to-day use. During set up, it recognizes each input as it is plugged in, prompts the user to name it, enters it into the Device Menu and only shows used inputs.

Wired IR Input
Wired IR inputs provides the ability to send remote control signals from external computerized home theater control systems into the TV without the clutter of stick-on IR blasters.

NetCommand® IR
This exclusive Mitsubishi feature provides the user with a true one–remote control home theater system for analog products. NetCommand IR® provides on-screen control of analog-connected products such as your AV receiver, DVD player, satellite receiver, and VCR. To set it up, you simply “tell" the television what products are connected and “teach it" their IR (infrared) commands. The TV will then take control, eliminating the coffee table clutter of remote controls. It`s capable of learning most IR remote control codes from standard home theater products, rather than relying on a preprogrammed library of codes.

Comments about Mitsubishi WD-65835 65-inch 1080p DLP Rear Projection HDTV:

I purchased this DLP for my husband for his birthday strictly for him to play his Xbox 360 on in his "man cave". Since I couldn't let him have all the fun, I have also streamed movies from my computer to the tv and used it as a monitor for a time...all with no issues what so ever! The picture is beautiful, clean, crisp, and sharp. There is no noticeable blur as with some other televisions of this size even with fast action scenes. It was extremely easy to set up also. For the price and features of this tv...you really can not find a better deal!

Comments about Mitsubishi WD-65835 65-inch 1080p DLP Rear Projection HDTV:

Picture quality is excellent. Contrast and brightness is excellent (with deep field imager feature turned on). Motion blur is minimal (with 120h smooth feature turned on). Overall it's a great TV for a large bright family room. Add in the cost, and it is the best option on the market.

I was not a fan of DLP when it first came out, but Mitsubishi really seems to have nailed this DLP technology now. If you don't need to hang it on a wall the 800 series Mits DLP's are the only way to go.

This TV is perfect for my entire family's viewing habits. Crystal Clear picture for Sporting Events, Movies and Video games. Very sleek design. The sound quality is not real good, however when it is run through a Home Theater System it is fantastic. The set up on this TV was very simple and we were watching the College Bowl games within 30 min. of its arrival. I love this TV and have already recommended it to several friends.

Would I buy this TV again? In a New York minute.

Received from OneCall in early December. The trucking company driver helped me get it into the house (I'm 50% disabled). I removed the box and my son who had just returned from work helped me set it on the T.V. stand. I hooked up the cables and turned it on. Looks great right out of the box. I did have to change the audio settings to make it sound great. I am very happy with it. It's hard to beat Mitsubishi's Diamond line. :o)

Comments about Mitsubishi WD-65835 65-inch 1080p DLP Rear Projection HDTV:

At this price there is not a 65 inch HDTV of this quality that comes close. Great right out of the box with minor adjustments. Unless you have to have a flat panel the value can not be matched.

I am glad that Mitsubishi does not put much into the sound quality and concentrates on the video quality. Most, I would think, use these types of TV's in a home theater set up so the tv audio has little use.

This is our prime home intertainment system. This is almost to good of a product, the picture is so good we don't want to turn it off. The sound is a TV. When I play a movie I run it through my sound sytem, so no big deal. The setup was quick and simple. My wife and I carried the tv into the house and it was up and running in about 15 min. [...] This is without a doubt one of the best buys on the internet. I shopped all the big box stores and no one could match this price. Also bought the Samsung Bluray player, Talk about easy, I just plugged everything in, turned it on, the player found my wifi, updated itself and we were watching a movie. It don't get any easier than that.Thank you one call.

Comments about Mitsubishi WD-65835 65-inch 1080p DLP Rear Projection HDTV:

I bought this to replace my 60" Mitsubishi projection TV, which was about 12 years old, and the main living room TV in the house. The difference (as you can imagine) is phenominal. For the price, I can't imagine a better TV on the market today, and I'm hoping this set will last as long as my last Mitsubishi.

Everyone isn't kidding about the sound quality - it's horrid, which is disappointing, because I do at times just like to have the TV on without the home theater sound system. My old 60" Mitsubishi's sound was fantastic compared to this. I guess I'll just get used to having the home theater system on when watching TV.

Most of the default video settings work just fine - very little tweaking is needed.

Using the TV with a HD cable box DVR connected via Component, a Sony BluRay via HDMI.

Comments about Mitsubishi WD-65835 65-inch 1080p DLP Rear Projection HDTV:

For me large screen real-estate, hi-quality picture, and a low price point were most important. I don't have great quatities of time to watch television so I only watch blu-ray and other hi-quality input sources. Further, I rarely watch this device without using my AV receiver for sound. A user will most likely be disappointed using this device without a AV receiver and a high quality input source. For me, I use it like a theater screen so it works well for my intended purpose. I would only recommend this to a friend only if his intended usage for this device was the same as mine. One more thing, go find a web site with video values to fine tune the picture. The following site worked well for me. [@]

Beatiful TV for the price. How can you get a 65" HD TV at a lower price? It still is not a plasma or a LCD but it does have a low profile. Any complaints about the speakers are crazy. You don't buy a TV like this for the sound. Any audiophile would have a separate 7 to 1 sound sytem! Again, excellent 65" TV with a BEAUTIFUL 1080p picture and a LOW price. 70sssnake

There are too many things right about this tv, that overpower the things that are not right. I would like to say that when watching HDTV sports programs there is a noticable blur in motions. But the size of the TV makes up for it. Awesome colors, great blacks, sharp and crisp picture! If you have a surround sound dont worry about the [*] speakers it comes with. Priced right too!

Comments about Mitsubishi WD-65835 65-inch 1080p DLP Rear Projection HDTV:

Usage:

TV programs (HD picture is very good, see my photo below), DVD, VCR, photos from camera and flash drive with front USB input, PC monitor with HDMI input and use of long range wireless keyboard and mouse.

Good:

Reasonable price.
Great picture quality right out off the box.
Great universal remote (much better than 2009 837 & 737 RC) for all video/audio devices connected.
Convenient front USB input (on 2009 models moved to the right side)

Not good:

Tuner setup - Scans and marks hundreds non-working digital channels. It's very time consuming to remove them one by one.
Sound from internal TV speakers is bad, use external Audio system.
Front frame is too glossy with reflection (2009 models less shiny).
No manual video adjustments for USB input, all preset, picture quality is better than actual shot itself :)

I did have a problem with the main control unit after two months. Huppins repaired it quickly and it is working fine.

Comments about Mitsubishi WD-65835 65-inch 1080p DLP Rear Projection HDTV:

I researched large screens for two years while waiting to take the plunge. Reviewers as well as sales people generally place the Pioneer Kuro Elite as the number one viewing experience, with the lower cost Pioneer Kuro at number two, then - somewhat surprisingly until you actually see it - the Mitsubishi Diamond Series DLP at number three. That's number three at less than half the cost! And less than half the power consumption! Let me tell you, if you follow the setup numbers recommended by Home Theater Magazine in their online review, you won't care a thing about going to the movie theaters anymore. This display is gorgeous, absolutely engaging, and extremely cinematic in its feel and presentation. I couldn't be happier, not even with the KURO Elite. The Mitsubishi is indeed a Diamond. p.s. don't worry about buying online, Mitsubishi packs this display in a veritable cardboard tank, and OneCall puts shock detectors around the box with very clear instructions on how to inspect it when it arrives.

If you need a big TV than this is for you. The picture is good but not to the level of LED or LCD but it's still pretty good. I got this TV over the Samsung LED 55in because of the size. I have a fairly big room and the 55in would have been too small. I'm pretty happy with it but I can't say I'm blown away by the picture. But don't get me wrong it's a great TV for the price, you can't beat that.

I had satellite and thought I had a great picture before getting this unit. I went from regular setelite to HD Satellite and the installer said this tv had the best picture he had ever seen before he hooked up the HD receiver. The picture blows you away and is great even at an angle. The only hold back on this unit is the sound. I am not picky over the sound, but had to wire through my surround sound system. I did put my system to just the front speakers and am happy with that. I use the surround just for newer movies and can turn to it easly. The tv knows then you plug in a vhs or other unit and lets you set it up very easly so switching from one to another is easy. You will meed a HDMI cable for your tv.

Comments about Mitsubishi WD-65835 65-inch 1080p DLP Rear Projection HDTV:

The bottom line of any TV is the picture. As a discriminating AV consumer I am inpressed how good this TV is. The picture is lifelike and viabrant. Compared to LCD or Plasma, the picture quality differences are very difficult to notice. Unless you plan to hang it on the wall, considering the huge cost difference, one could never justify paying 2 to 3 times as much.
As extra bonus Mitsubihi built in excellent conectivity and menu features. If you decide to buy one you will not be disapoited.
One more suprize was that Mitsubishi reduced the price of the replacement lamp to $99. If it lasts only a year it's worth it. But I am sure it will last much longer at the lower brightness setting. Even at this setting the TV is as bright as any LCD or Plasma.

Ok I purchased this TV about 3 months ago when it was very first available on One-call. If you don't have a setup disc to adjust picture quality you won't be happy with this unit. You better spend the money for the newer Cat 2 1.3a HDMI cables the manual recommends as do I. I have had my share of problems with pic quality mostly related to signal strength. I will say if you don't have the setting tweeked you won't be happy. Take the time to get a setup disc and blue-ray is a must! I would probably give this a 7 out of 10 rating. Its not my best tv dispite my hopes that it would become my best. It is a nice set and lots of bang for the buck. It was much cheaper than LCD's or plasma in the same size range. I actually got 7 more inches for $500 less than my plasma cost.
