This set is the anchor to my modest hometheater set-up which consists of Yamaha, Axiom, and HSU components. Overall I am very pleased with this unit. Take some extra time to dial in the picture settings and I garauntee that you will not be disappointed. I have never been a fan of the "I need a tv on the wall" fad and this set backs that up. This unit's dimensions (depth) mean that it takes up much less room than a old school rear projection unit and fits quite nicely in my small viewing area.

Love this DLP from Samsung. I did extensive research of 2 months between Plasma, LCD and DLP and finally decided on this DLP (Samsung HL61A750 61-inch). Got this TV from www.Onecall.com [...]. It was plug and play. Only thing about these big screen TV's is that you will have to tweak it to what you like and that requires some patience and knowledge. Try [@] Also try [@] But once you get it right, this DLP is as good as any LCD out there but you pay a lot less. I paid [$] for it. Actually, its better then Plasmas and LCDs since the screen has no shine in it so nothing reflects whereas some of these new LCDs have this glossy screen reflecting everything in the background which can be really annoying. Blue ray movies look great. You definitely want to get HD programming with these big screen TV's or you'll get blurry picture. Also, you will need a 1080p up converter player. I bought Sony PS3 which also up converts all Non-HD movies into 1080p signal but you can buy any DVD up convertor. It won't be as good as blue ray movies but pretty close though. It also will depend from one movie to another. Hope this helps!!!

I bought this TV for my mom. I wanted a large screen. I did not want to saddle my mom with the hassle of replacing light engine projection bulbs. The long life span of the LED light source and the very low energy consumption of the TV were strong selling points. The picture and signal processing far exceeded my expectations. It does a really fine job of upconverting non-HD channels, and a super job on HD. I just dialed down the brightness and contrast, and it throws a very close to perfectly calibrated picture. Samsung has done a terrific job with this TV. OneCall did great on the price, [...]and I scored big points with my mom..Many of the drawbacks of rear projection TVs are sidestepped by this TV and the 67 inch model.

Excellent TV. I loved the 60" Pioneer plasma but not the [$] price. If you don't need to hang a TV on the wall this is the way to go. DVD's,PS3 and HD TV look great and the standard definition picture is just fine. Every concern I had about this TV were for naught. I truly love it!

I had an older 50 inch samsung and expected a great TV but it is even better. It would be hard for me to consider getting another brand if I were getting another DLP. Simple nice design and easy to access inputs. Menu is nice. I have no complaints really. Because it is 61 inches the screen seems wobbly when I put the tv in place, but its a good screen and have had no issues.

With a wide selection of inputs and outputs this TV is sutable for almost any configuration thinkable. Have had for almost two months and have yet to find any fault except that the audio on internal speakers could be better.

I started watching this tv 2 weeks ago, and I must say I absolutely love the picture quality but find that sometimes the picture flashes to black and white for a couple of seconds then revert back to color. Also, the sound is very weak.

I was a little concerned about the negative comments about rear projection TVs with the corner effects, and brightness, and viewing angle since my living room has a wall of windows and our seating is quite wide - thus much of the seating is about 30 degrees off center. However, I was total awe-struck by how bright this TV is - even in full daylight. It has a setting for bright rooms and for dark rooms (I definitely would not want the TV any brighter in a dark room). These settings truely make the TV perfect for all lighting. The matte finish keeps the reflections to an absolute minimum - much better than most LCD or plasma TVs. The viewing angle was also not a problem - decent for up to 70 degrees off center (I doubt anyone would watch a TV at that extreme angle anyway). I was also very happy with the fast moving action performance where on many/most LCD TVs you see pixelation (less with the newer 120 Hz LCD TVs) - I don't notice any of this with this LED light engine TV. Not having a lamp to worry about is also very nice. The sound is better than I would have thought (after selecting the appropriate settings in the menu) but still needs a sound sysem. I was also very happy with my experience with OneCall.com - best price [...]!

For the money, this is a nice big screen that would cost over $4,000 if you bought a plasma or LCD set. Switching inputs from cable to an external source like a video game or DVD player is clunky and slow. Obviously at 14 inches thick you're not going to hang it on the wall, but compared to the 12 year old projection tv I replaced, it is tiny. Picture quality is first-rate (movies and nature shows look amazing!) and it is very attractive in our living room.

This replaced a 2002 57" HD that weighed 235lbs. At 70lbs, a bigger screen, and a much brighter and sharper picture this product shines. The sound is not so great but I enjoy the audio through a great surround sound system.

This is a great TV for the price. It has a much better picture than a similarly sized flat-panel that will be 2-3 times the cost. We own a video production business, so we are very picky about picture quality (it is used in our home theater).It is not quite as bright as the LCD that it replaced, but it is a much larger TV and I have no problem seeing it clearly in a room with large windows. As expected the, off-axis viewing is very dim, but this is a chracteristic of any rear projection TV.I would definitely recommend it. The free shipping and sales tax saved me several hundred dollars compared to a local store.

I recently upgraded from a 3-year old 58" 1080p HP DLP and the difference was astounding. Much brighter picture, incredible clarity, and 100 pounds lighter! Picture comes on nearly instantly, and the set is completely silent (regarding image buzzing, fans, etc). Black levels are also very good.
Bottom line, I'm very glad I made the purchase and would easily recommend.

The audio is very poor..sounds like the speakers are covered up..The sound is somewhat better when watching in sports mode..To avoid this just play the sound through your stereo and turn off the tv speakers

This is one AWSOME TV I did my research for 30 days and by far samsung HL61A750 blows away all other televions. I have had friends over to watch the football games and some have LCD and Plasma and everyone says it blows away there hands down. The picture is so clear you would think you were there live. My only problem is I should of bought it a LONG time ago. If you are thinking of buying this model don't wait it is worth every penny. I added a bose system and I never need to go to the movies again.

I am always very happy with my purchases from One Call and knew that I would be this time as well. Only negative about this TV is there is no way to remove "tv" from the source list on the menu. I have my cable connection thru an HDMI connection and DVD player also. It would be nice to only show these on the source menu but that is not a major problem rather a small annoyance.
