Comments about Sony BDP-CX960 400-Disc Blu-ray Player/Changer:
The machine works flawlessly. My only complaints are that it always could be a bit faster and there should be a USB connection. Would mention that the transaction with Onecall was smooth and efficient.
Comments about Sony BDP-CX960 400-Disc Blu-ray Player/Changer:
It is a complete library when done and performs beautifully. My only regret is the few movies it's not able to identify, the input via the remote is cumbersome. In the past they gave you a port to plug in a PC Keyboard to input the information which worked well. But I recommend this product as five stars for it's quality, ability to play Blue-Ray disks, and being user friendly!
Comments about Sony BDP-CX960 400-Disc Blu-ray Player/Changer:
Sony damaged 85% of my dvds with the prior model, however they did reimburse me without a problem. So far so good with this new model. With the Gracenote Database Sony has,it makes it very easy to have all my dvds recognized. It was a nightmare with the older model having to type in manually, all the information for each dvd. Good going Sony...you brought me back as a consumer!!

Comments about Sony BDP-CX960 400-Disc Blu-ray Player/Changer:
Pros: 400 discs. Reasonable seek/load/play speeds. Not as fast as our PS3 to start playing a loaded disc, but way faster than previous generation BR players. Flashdrive USB port for caching BD content is nice. Decent interface, similar to the PS3. Good abilities to categorize and organize your titles the way you would like them.Cons: one word - Gracenote. If I were Sony, and I had invented this format, I'd be embarrassed. "Hitch", "I Am Legend", one of the "Harry Potter" movies, and "National Treasure 2" have no icons, just the generic silver BD-ROM one. Several of my Harry Potters' info thumbs loaded in German. "The Departed" thumb loaded in Spanish. I have some of the new BR James Bond movies. They load as part of the new James Bond box sets, not as individual titles. I had to edit all of these. "Red Heat" just came up as "BD ROM" and nothing more. These are all mainstream Blu-Ray titles, not obscure indie films. I bought them at [...], so they are legit and not incorrectly region coded, etc. Sony should offer some choices other than a silver disc as their generic icon as well. Also, most Disney titles I loaded won't let me stop the player while the endless plugs and previews are playing. I have to skip through all those, get to the main menu of the movie, and then I am accorded the privilege of stopping the movie. That's innexcusable as well, in my opinion. You also better get used to not being able to start back where you left off on a movie, even if is in the play slot. You have to start over from the beginning, go through the warnings and previews, etc. Some titles left me with a blank screen and I had to hit "play" or "skip" several times to get them to play. Maybe they were grabbing BD content. Would have been nice to know if that was the case. This player is highly restrictive. I can certainly understand why the PC world has a market for software hacks that negate these things on PC's playing DVD and BR titles. It's a shame this player is really the only game in town at this price point. Once you get it set up it's fine, but it's still restrictive, inconsistent, and undenpendable in its ability to accurately download title info. You should plan on recoding about 10% of your titles, at the very least.
